Jamie Vardy has said he considered quitting last season but Nigel Pearson and Craig Shakespeare convinced him that he was good enough http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/26610749
Considering the crap he got from us all last season, I don't blame him. I will put my hands up and admit I was one of them and am really glad he carried on playing and prove us all wrong.
Starting to think we've got an Ian Wright, Grant Holt or a Rickie Lambert on our hands here. Proper late bloomer who, hopefully can make the final step into the PL.
I hope that anyone that directly berated him on his twitter are ashamed, i think we're lucky that Drinkwater doesn't have twitter, pretty obvious from his goal celebrations, especially earlier in the season, that he'd seen/heard some negative things written/said.
It was clear to see he had some ability last season he just looked very raw. He slumped confidence wise and never looked like recovering Admitted i did write him off very early last season and before most people. He has proved everyone wrong and im delighted he has. Because of his background I really wanted things to work out for Vardy and im goad they now are
sort of player who makes the team so well by creating more space for the other striker through his sheet workrate. He wouldnt score many in the prem due to his poor first touch and lack of real quality finishing but he could allow someone next to him to flourish
The trouble with him last season was that, while being light (which isn't a problem) he was miles too easily pushed off the ball and he also had the first touch of a donkey. But he's put his head down and been one of the key reasons we're getting promoted. My Player of the Year, closely followed by Drinky. I wrote him off, not through being particularly poor but because we had Chris Wood who scored 20 goals last season and David Nugent who scored 15(?). I didn't think he'd be able to have a place but my mind was changed on the Monaco game. I thought he looked infinitely sharper, he looked like a man with confidence who was running at players without really having fear (which I think he did have last season). I felt sorry for him when he gave that penalty away against Middlesbrough so it's been nice to see him score twice against them this season.
He should've done what Curtis Woodhouse did. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-2292040/Curtis-Woodhouse-tracks-Twitter-troll.html
Love the way he has reacted this season. However, the guy is paid thousands. Needed to man up and get his act together. Glad to say he has done that. Message to anyone - if you don't want to be in the public eye and open to criticism - don't become a professional footballer.
