I missed the news before, but Jamie McAllister is City's new under 21 coach - the role vacated by Wade Elliott. There was disappointment when Elliott left and more than a few question marks, but McAllister has to be a popular choice with people - plus, he's apparently already got his UEFA A coaching licence (not sure what qualifications Elliott had), so he's got credentials beyond simply being LJ's mate. Always seemed a top bloke, so pleased to have him involved in the club again.
I was pretty pleased to see this as well. JMac always seemed to be a good club man, much in the mould of Wade. Hopefully he can steer a few of the younger lads along the right path and into the first team. With the silly amounts of money being paid for players these days, we need to be producing more of our own.
