More good news and another piece of the jigsaw. https://safc.com/news/team-news/2020/december/mcallister-named-assistant-head-coach Speaking about his appointment, McAllister said: “I have worked with the gaffer for the past four or five years, so I know how he works, and I understand his philosophies and style. The potential here is fantastic and everybody has a part to play – our role is to create a culture and identity that provides the spark to take this club back where it belongs. We have great fans behind us and we want to reward that support, not only with winning football, but enjoyable football." Head Coach Lee Johnson added: “Having worked with Jamie previously during our time at Bristol City, I have a full and thorough understanding of his qualities on and off the pitch. He will be a huge asset for Sunderland AFC.” Kristjaan Speakman concluded: “Following Lee’s arrival, it was imperative that we appointed the right Assistant Head Coach to fit the profile that we had established. Having spoken extensively to Jamie, we feel that he fits the criteria – on and off the pitch – and I look forward to working closely with him as part of the team that we’re putting in place.”
Good news, our coaching has been non existent, probably since big Sam jumped ship. I notice he has taken Sammy Lee and Robbie Stockdale with him to West Brom, the Red Adair's of football, I wish them well. Oil get me coat
Another great appointment. I look forward to watching a performance clearly born on the coaching ground.
Just imagine the stunned faces in the crowd if we had proper corners, free kicks and throw ins .... ... people on the other side of the ground would be able to hoy wine gums into their open mouths
I remember standing in the Fulwell end and chucking the nuts I’d just bought at the St. John ambulance lads, not really funny now but back then as a nipper I thought it was hysterical
I saw one young lad get a complete pie off the back of his head whole end erupted followed by a verse to the police lass get your tits out for the lads, absolutely disgusting behaviour
Looking back I'm appalled at some of the shyte I used to sing at people ... ... the touchline put people right in the firing line for chants, insults, snowballs, nuts, pies, change, etc. Any passing mascot, steward, copper, programme seller, substitute, linesman, etc was considered fair game
There’s a lot of negativity about this country but when you look back just 30 or 40 years we have moved on massively compared to other countries.
This is why BLM leaves me cold. There's been a natural progression towards tolerance and equality with time taken to properly consider things. That's happened without pulling statues down and kneeling down at every given chance. The problem is that people 'know their right's and want everything NOW! Yeah, so do we all mate but that's not going to happen overnight, or probably any other night.
And defiantly kept their heads down until they got into the away end then started shaking their fists
