It's something that will have been overlooked because of what happened afterwards but that was one of the best calm and composed finishes I have seen. Admittedly I haven't watched a lot of QPR this season but whenever I have he has been the standout player. Whatever changes are made I hope he'll be part of your future. Not technically the best but a superb workrate.

If every player had his attitude and workrate the Prem would be a better place

DL i have not been one of mackies fans but he has proved me wrong so many times. Not the most gifted player but plays his heart out and turns up for important goals. If only SWP took a leaf out of his book.

He was like a man possessed yesterday. Did anyone else notice how fired up and 'out of it' he was after he scored and then after the whistle had gone he stood there completely menacing for about 5 minutes as all of the invading City fans embraced him!!

The 'Scottish Terrier'. He will chase down EVERY ball even when he knows he cannot make it. At first I thought his header had bounced and gone over the bar. He scored the winner against Arsenholes and gives 110%.

At a guess his was the first name on the team sheet for yesterday's game which is all you need to know about this so called 'trier'. He is a 'succeeder' IMO.

I bet you Jamie wakes up every morning and pinches himself when it wakes, to check it isn't a dream.

He obviously loves playing, fells privileged to do what he does and does it with pride. What ever you think of the guys skill level you have to love the effort and example he sets.

Agree with Ellers , he has proved many supporters wrong, including myself.

I would say he probably looks a better player since MH has come in.

He does give the ball away cheaply at times and run down blind alleys , if he can get this out of his game he will be a great player for us.

IMHO, our player of he year, especially when you consider the bad injury he had. He has got better and better as the year has gone on. He needs a good rest this summer and hopefully will come back fired up for next year.

He'll only improve under Hughes. The one part of his game that really needs some work is his decision-making and once he's sorted that out we could have a really good player on our hands. However well or badly he's playing you know he's going to chase the ball that 9/10 players would give up on and that'll do for me.

That word gets overused, but for him it is true. Mackie is a legend. He never gives up and is always there when times are good and bad.

    Superb player, and superb pro.

i dont think hes a legend. Only players like Sir Les, Bowles etc deserve that but if he keeps it up, he will definitely be fans favourite.

If he had the work rate of your average Premier League player, he'd be in League 2, and I'm serious. It's his effort that brings out his talent.

Love him. May not be the most technically gifted, but more than makes up for it with heart and determination. Made such a difference to the season, we'd have been down without him. Player of the season in spite of missing a good chunk of it.
