Today, the cast comes off of Jamie's leg, three months after the FA Cup tie at Ewood park where he was so cruelly injured. Once this is done, he begins the route back to strength and fitness, hopefully all will go perfectly well and he'll be back to his best in no time and ready to take part in pre-season. I often wonder how our season could have panned out had Jamie stayed fit. I reckon the biggest impact could well have been that Hulse wouldn't have got any games for us (not such a bad thing) and Jamie would now have more Scotland caps as well as be challenging Adel for top scorer. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that we'd be even further ahead of the chasing pack than we are. One last thought - Jamie's attitude throughout this enforced lay-off has been superb, and really shows the lad for the star he is - not just a legend for the future, but a true Super Hoop already. There are a fair number of overpaid, over-hyped Premier League primadonnas that could learn a thing or two from him about attitude and humility.
Well said Willy. Jamie is one of several role models for youngsters in the current Rs set up. His attitude and industry is so refreshing. His work rate alone gives us two for the price of one. If and when Adel moves on, it'd be nice to know we'd have the likes of Mackie, Routeledge, Smith and Buz there as the basis to our midfield squad.
he work rate was fantastic. it show what you can achive from working your socks off and getting yourself in good positions. i still think the way he celabrated at derby was a great sign of how we had a squad of players that wanted to be at the club and not just here for the money
In my honest opinion a fit Jamie Mackie, Faurlin, Adel, Routs and Smith (not forgeting buz ,hogan Clarke..haha ok joking about clarke) theres enough ability there to do well in the prem...
