Get him in. He's just handed in a transfer request at QPR having 'found first team opportunities limited'.
He's going Forest For me though he is just a better version of Vardy. Still wont score the goals to get the shirts off Wood or Nugent
Dunno. When QPR went up he'd scored 9 playing on the wing but broke his leg in the FA Cup. Would probably have gone on to double that. Thing is, if we had a player with the goals of Nugent (15 or so) and the work rate/pace of Vardy then we'd have ourselves a ****ing good player!
If you want a striker who can't score, we can do you a good deal on Mclean? Edit: Immediately after typing this, I just saw QPR have accepted his transfer request, so he'll almost certainly go to Forest.
Sorry, I'll have to withdraw the offer of a good deal on Mclean, it seems he's already on his way to Barnsley.
Time for me to be controversial (again) - I'm not even sure he's actually any better than Vardy - when Vardy got a run at the start of the season he was unlucky to have a couple of goals chalked off, as it transpired, wrongly. At that point he would have been scoring one in every two games - he then became a bit-part player. I've not entirely written him off yet as I do think he has an eye for goal and also believe he's more of a 'natural' finisher than Nuge for instance. If he manages to get a couple of goals for us early doors we may all end up being pleasantly surprised by his season ... certainly too soon to completely write him off IMHO.
Mackie is a winger so would be pointless to get him if the rumours are true and we are looking to play a 5-3-2 formation. Edit: He has gone to Forest so this is defunct http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23457064
Does his move to Barnsley mean that, after posting this "joke" daily for the best part of a year now, you'll finally stop?
I think we've missed out here- a good, hard-working player who given limited opportunities had a good record at QPR.
