To start up front for Scotland away to the Czechs, he gets his starting place ahead of Kenny Miller and Steven Fletcher (seemingly).
I read too Muir. Kenny Miller is banging in the goals right now and knows exactly how to play with these players. Big Fletch offers us something different too and is a decent wide forward. This Mackie could be brilliant but he's not going to have the same knowledge of how the Scotland team plays. I be surprised if this wasn't paper talk though. Levein would be slaughtered if he drops Miller and Fletcher then loses the game.
He's scored 8 goals for QPR in the Championship and has a West Highland Terrier that his mum bought in 1999. Apparently that qualifies him to play for Scotland.
He's about 3% Scottish. The reason why we got pumped away to Sweden is because of inexperienced players, oh and because we're ****e too I hope it's paper talk.

Caldwell in midfield......... Japan game anyone? He looked like he was playing a different sport from the Japanese midfielders. Has Barry Robson done something to annoy Levein. Don't think I've ever seen the guy have a bad game in a Scotland shirt. Nothing spectacular just hard work and determination. Better than that fud Caldwell.
Exactly he's going to be marking Thomas Rosicky and that's not an easy job. We're going to miss Kevin Thomson because he had that **** in his pocket back in January. Still don't see why they can't put Darren Fletcher in the holding role and play Dorrans or Robson beside him **** knows why so many managers rate Gary Caldwell, he's not the worst player I've seen but he flatters to deceive far too often. Prime example was Wigan last season when marked Torres out the game one week then gave away a penalty and got a red card the following one.
Seemingly the worse part of the Czech team is their defence, it needs to be pretty rank if we're going to score away from home. Imagine if we won!
If we win against the Czechs we need to try and get point at Hampden against Spain. 4 points would put us in the driving seat with Czech and Lithuania still to come to Scotland. Spain are missing Xavi and Torres. Torres isn't a huge miss just now but Xavi makes them tick. Barcelona have been rank rotten since he got injured and have only won 1 out of 4 games since.
my main issue with the spain game is i am at uni until 7 and will have with me a bag full of knifes and pins and tape. how do i get in to hampden with out looking like i am going to take hostages if i get a bag search.
