He's like a wasp around defenders, a f*cking irritant never giving them a moments peace. He's a great outlet down the right and I'll love seeing him give that **** Cole a hard time next week...
Just wrote in another thread that maybe we are only now seeing the best of Mackie after his injury. It would take time after a bad injury to regain fitness, match fitness, confidence etc etc. I never really rated him but he is slowly changing my opinion of him. Was excelent today.
exactly my thoughts, didn't think he could make it in prem, but he really has proved me wrong, great fighter, never gives up
Brilliant today. Worked his socks off. He modelled what we needed every player to do to get the result. Top marks.
I liked Mackie last season before the injury at Blackburn - wasn't sure he'd recover well enough to make the team but I was impressed, again. today. But then I was impressed by all of the R's today
I'll be honest Flanman, I did. But delighted to eat my words, he is grabbing his chance at this level with both hands, making a massive contribution.
Mackie is super confident at the mo and has been outstanding considering his lower league experience and not forgetting his serious leg break. This fella is turning onto what Rowlands, Ainsworth and Cooke were for us a few years ago; a pro's pro........top draw. Kids watching this game need to tale a leaf out of his book for attitude, work ethic etc.
Well done Jamie. Tremendous work rate and determination. Maybe he's been listening to Al Pacino in that motivational talk?!
gotta say, even if i didn't believe it, mackie is turning to be the player that can change our destiny. With his conviction and belief, we really could make it and stay in prem, a great player with an amazing confidence...
