more a team record than a keeper one for me. you look at the shots on target stats in those 6 games and Ipswich aside your talking 2/3 and even none in one game. shows how much more committed our defense is with rocha and herman in the mix!
Brilliant for Jamie, he has been a totally new keeper for us this season. Can't imagien what it must have been like for him since his transfer from Reading, always number 2 behind a better keeper (Hislop, James, ect). I am glad to see that he has finally got his time to shine, and that he has grabbed said chance with both (gloved) hands PLAY UP POMPEY!
Too true Jake. Followed up today by yet another great performance, and another clean sheet. Who needs David James ?
Too true - they should never have sold Shay Given. Mind you, who can ignore Man. City's millions........
amazing what a changed player, one min he was out; the next he's our number 1 playing regularly has finally given him his chance to shine and while i think we all have to agree james is a more class keeper and ashdown does have his faults, his concentration is immense a good team defensive effort and a settled back 4 has changed our season
Too right HOADIE_BOI, do you know what? I wouldn't take James back now, great though he was, young Jamie has matched him fair and square. You yourself, are one of the busiest posters on here, 564 posts in less than a month. Outstanding!
I have only been on here for a week tommorrow so some people may find that sad, But all Im doing is getting my views out on what I see on here.
Your views are very welcome Hoadie_Boi. You're just down the road from me - in fact I work in your town, 3 minutes away from the station.
Thanks for that I like to know when people like my views I have had to put up with a few idiots in the last week since I joined so Thanks for the backing
Yeah we know about idiots - there are a few in the dark side of Hampshire (not all of them I must add)....... and they've got this thing about how many fans turn up to watch their games. Ruined almost every thread on the old 606.
I must add the idiots I had problems with seemed to be makens They just seem like trouble on here so Im not dealing with them anymore
No must admit I didn't - but did listen to our game on Leicester radio. Laughed all way through it as well because the commentators were so downhearted. I don't know where the press box is there but for the most part I could hear our 1001 fans singing the Pompey Chimes - that was in between the booing from the 25,645 Leicester fans. They started leaving 10 minutes before the end of the game while our lot were having a disco! Being a Pompey fan is the best fun ever.
I fell sorry for Pompy, It has been a very hard time for you and hopefully you can try and get back to the premiership next season
Oh I've been here - but I'm talking about the matches and the supporters rather than all the off-field shenanigans. Perhaps I should have said "it's never boring".
