Saints are trying out something new this summer, James Ward-Prowse is going to blog for the club website. Effectively a diary on everything that he is doing and what is going on during his time with the England U20s at the U20 World Cup in Turkey. Good to hear that they are getting time together. If you take these tournaments seriously, you can't just meet up a couple of days before and then fly off, especially with a group of young players. Great experience for JWP...learning to play with non-Saints players, getting top treatment at St George's, and travelling to matches in a foreign country (he'll need that experience when we are in the Champions' League).
JWP is certainly the club's golden boy. I bet they wouldn't have trusted Shaw with doing something like this.
JWP is a nice well brought up boy. He is an intelligent, polite and well spoken young man. He reminds me a bit of myself when I was his age.
Just had to have a stiff drink...went to see James' blog on the OS and thought he'd gone over to the dark side...then realised the background was Turkey's flag and not Pompey's.
