I know this might be a touchy subject but if we do go down then we might need to hold onto Vaughan.
With only Holt (a showdown of his former self), Becchio (if he stays) and Jackson left as strikers we will need another one at least. Can't see RVW coming if we are relegated. At least Vaughan should score a few goals at Championship level. Sincerely hope we stay up so Vaughan gets sold. I really don't know who is to blame for our current plight but I have had little confidence in the present team for several months and can't really state why.

I wondered why he was loaned out as he was our pre-season top scorer wasn't he?

He's done ok at Huddersfield, but from what we've heard he's homesick for the North and doesn't want to be in Norwich. He's also spent a significant chunk of the season injured, so he's yet to prove he can manage a full campaign. If we go down, the cheap option would be to extend Chris Martin's contract, or promote Carlton Morris to the first team.

I think that, with Vaughan and Chris Martin, we'll have a pretty decent strikeforce for the Championship (assuming RVW won't join us, or at least be sold on).

Only upside of relegation is that Holty might actually get his 100th goal for us (currently on 76).

I obviously, however, greatly, greatly, greatly hope we stay up. <ok>

I considered Chris Martin too and any others out on loan. Guess everything is on hold until the season is over.

Chris Martin wasn't necessarily 1st choice in the Championship. If we go down, we will be debt free and have a parachute payment of £23M. We would want to be looking at potential Prem players not Championship has beens or maybes.

That much? Thought it was less. My mistake. Best not waste it then.

And you would have to think that RVW would want a tasty partner alongside him. Having seen Championship defences recently, surely a decent attack would give us a great chance of bouncing back.

If we go down RVW won't join or will leave immediately regardless of what McNally says

Hopefully it won't happen, but it'd be interesting to see just how much we'd actually have to spend. All our wages were pretty low to begin with, and no doubt all contracts have relegation clauses. I'm curious how much of that £23m would actually be available for player signings, because presumably it won't be all of it.

We've already given Sporting the money, which they have spent.
He will 100% be our player come July 1st. Whether we sell him on then is the question and I reckon we'll make a bit of profit.

Well in that case he will join and be sold on immediately. RVW will not be a Championship striker lol
