Walsall fan here in peace. James O'Connor has just signed for us today. As he was on loan to you guys last season. I wonder what you thought of him? Did he play in many different defensive positions for you? I think we may have got him as a central defender to replace Andy Butler. We'd be interested to know what you thought.
Oh thank god..... When I saw this thread I thought we were signing him! Very average player, didn't do a great deal here but he wasn't here long. Personally thought everyone we had at our club was better than him and it was a bit of a pointless signing. He played all across the back 4 for us when he was here. So can't say we know his best position but it will be on the right side of defence. Either RB or RCB. Best of luck to him
He was poor for us, but he only played something like 7 games. I think he mostly played RB or RCB in a 3 man defence. I think though he will turn out a solid league 1 player for you though, so best of luck
I think given a full pre season he will be ok Prefer him as a centre back than full back He appears to be a good pro and will bring experience to the team.
