It states on Wikipedia that he's joined Cardiff City today, on £25,000 a week. Not too sure this is fact, but if it isn't I wouldn't mind seeing him at Leeds United as a replacement for Gradel. Left sided attacking player, who has great technical skill and the ability to run at and beat players. Has suffered from a serious injury to his anterior cruciate ligament since August 2010, but appears to be back and looking for a new club.
We don't pay £25k a week, hence why Gradel has gone. In the words of the dictator "We don't want those greedy ****s at my club, I'll show them! Did I say my club? I meant our club... yes... ours. Mine."
Don't worry I'm well aware of what we don't pay, but I doubt that is what he would be getting if he has joined Cardiff City. My own feeling is that he would jump at the chance of playing for a club like Leeds, after such an injury and would take a short term contract on the normal salary offered, just to prove himself. Who knows what could happen if he likes the club and wants to stay.
I think the day of footballers jumping at the chance to play at any club outside the premiership are long gone. They are mostle greedy bastards, motivated only by money and their agents. If timbucktoo come in with an improved salary, theyre off like scalded cats. Mind you, wouldnt most of ust do the same
The Scotland Homeless Football Team have just won the Homeless World Cup in France, I'm sure some of them would welcome the chance of playing for Leeds and would be exactly the kind of cost cutting players Bates loves.
Exactly, yes I would and so would the vast majority of other people. I always look for the best deal I can get in business and I don't do anything without a charge against the company who want to employee me, I know my rate and I will play other organisations against each other to get the best deal for me. Why shouldn't football players?
That's the problem though. This time last year we were in a position where players would (to a point) snub premier league opportunities to play for Leeds, because it was a more attractive prospect. We lost out on a player to QPR - the non-spenders of the teams that went up. Why the **** would a player rather play for QPR than us, unless we are no longer an attractive prospect? who the **** would want to play for Leeds?
I'm hoping a player with undoubted ability, who just wants to show the football world he is not finished.
Of course we are no longer an attractive prospect to all but out of contract hasbeens or players coming towards career ends. We are a struggling championship club, paying **** wages with little chance of any kind of glory in the near future, a boring manager and a scumbag for a boss. Qpr are in the premiership, which would you choose
Have to say I lived in London for years in the 1980's and went to watch QPR quite a few times, always enjoyed the atmosphere and the stadium, perhaps due to being so close to the game.
Steady. The lads did very well and included a 40 year old former Dundee United player. I've watched the lads train and they are pretty good and very dedicated, some better than some former Leeds players, Bradley Johnson sticks to mind immediately.
