Are two players who have been linked with us today.

Apparently, Higuain is available for £15m (bullshit) so that's unlikely, especially being as he's Mourinho's favourite. However, if it were to happen...

And as for McCarthy, he's a player I really rate. Young, being tracked by a lot of big clubs (including us) with a good eye for a pass and nice quick feet. His return from a lengthy lay off coincided nicely with Wigan starting to get some results, so make of that what you will. Also, the BBC always get him mixed up with James McArthur so we would solve that issue too.

McCarthy has been a hot prospect for some time - his stats on FIFA09 were epic ;)
In all seriousness, he's a possibility, but I wouldn't count on it. I think Wenger is starting to look more at slightly older players (in the 23 - 25 range) rather than the potential (18-22). This is coinciding with the paying off of the debt + the need for players to come in who can slot straight in and play from the off.

If he was available for <5m then I'd say go for it, but that's unlikely. Rather N'Zogbia to be honest.

Meh. Don't get me wrong, my Wigan following mate loves him but don't we have enough talented young midfielders? I'd rather we jizzed our money on (the much repeated) experienced CB and a decent forward.

McCarthy is alright, if we signed a midfielder though I would want them to be a defensive one

I doubt they will even consider your club, since your team is only full of bottlers :)

Higuain for £15 Mil has to be some sort of sick joke.

Don't cry about the fact that Bottlers FC can only finish 4th in a 2 legged title race.

if either Benzema or Higuain are available Wenger must go all out to get one of them. They could be a huge asset next year. I'd prefer Benzema, since he can play on the left, but Higuain could be great.

Both would be great, neither would be that cheap. Whoever plucked 15 million as the price is a r'tard.
