According to the Middlesbrough site James Husband has re-joined on a month's loan ... Nando going to them on a season long loan. Never understood why we hadn't gone after James H right from the outset.
Presumably the James Husband loan for only a month is because Luke Garbutt is expected to be out for another 4 weeks and to gives us a proper LB for that horrendous fixture list in the latter bit of September. Would have been good if he'd been with us from the beginning of the season ie as soon as we knew Garbutt would be out for a while. Again presuming, and will give the Club the benefit of the doubt, that it took time for the Nando negotiations to happen.
Garbutt might prove me wrong if he is to be our starter, but I'd be more comfortable with husband at the minute, gives us experience across the backline - hopefully we will extend it.
I think I agree with that but if we manage to extend this loan until January or the new year it will be the best strength in depth at LB that we've had in years. It's just a pity that neither of them are actually our players.
