Seriously. What is James Harper up to nowadays? He's not even close getting into the team. I haven't seen or heard anything about him for the last 6 months or so. Must be the most awesome work you can get. Train some football, earn plenty of cash, get to hang out with the City players, know that you're not good enough to play and that nobody expects anything of you, but that the money will keep on comin anyway. What's he up to? Will he leave? Has he vanished from earth? Has he joined Bullard in some local bar down in Ipswich? Anyone?
I think someone mentioned on another thread him heading to either MK Dons or Charlton, although I've not seen that reported anywhere and I don't know if it'd be on loan or permanent.
As he's out of contract in the summer I don't think it makes much difference, but I'd expect it to be on loan on the basis of wages and the club signing him being in a lower league. If he leaves permanently he'd probably have to sacrifice wages, and accept being in L1 next year. If he goes on loan he'll stay on his current wages and be able to go where he wants in the summer.
Harper isn't a bad player at all, he does the simple things well, we just have better quality in McKenna, Evans & Cairney in that position now.. Harper was a good signing when the club was in dire straits..
My first post is ofc a slight exaggeration, but I still think that he aint top half Championship quality. Saying that he does "the simple things well" is kinda general though. Kinda what you expect from a professional footie player in one of Englands top divisions
What you talkin bout? Zayatte was a great goal scorer () and had excellent communication with the rest of the defence
Harper ,like Solano, was a NP purchase that caused me to sit on the fence about our then current manager. The fact Harper was injured and missed many of the earlier games worried me even more and finally to watch him perform when he did make the starting eleven ,that was a real disappointment.
Yes, ....Kamel Zayette did score some good goals. Unfortunately they were in the wrong ****ing Net!!!!!!
Harper will do a great job in a league one side. He was once a great midfileder when he played for Reading but father time has now caught upto him.
Sick of this "good signing at the time" bollocks. No he wasn't, he's ****e and we'd have been better off signing nobody.
Yes, I'd be amazed if that turned into a move though. The finances up here are so bad that Aberdeen are worried about Southend making them an offer that's too good to refuse for one of their players.
Harper has now according to the official City Page on Facebook joined Wycombe on a 1 month loan deal Good for all parties I guess
Gone to Wycombe Wanderers on a months Loan for now. Good signing for W.W. and his arm waving will be much needed down there. Its not far from Heathrow Airport either so maybe an opportunity after he retires to Park up planes on arrival. Jobs a gud-un.
