RIP James Earl Jones. I know it is the Darth Vader voice he is most remembered for. But for me in Field of Dreams I thought he was tremendous. I absolutely love that film and it never ages. Tremendous theatre career too. One of the great voices.
Ah bloody hell, just seen this. Instantly recognisable voice, mainly due to Star Wars I guess, but been in loads of great films and tv series. Appeared as himself in an episode of The Big Bang Theory, and he was even class in that. One of his quotes.... "Speech is a very important aspect of being human. A whisper doesn't cut it". R.I.P. James Earl Jones.
Love that film one of my favourites. Unfortunately my dad died when I was young so the film is even more poignant
Saw him at The Old Vic about 10 years ago in Much Ado About Nothing. Not the best production (it had been set in 1944 war torn England) but Christ he had a presence. Field of Dreams is still a favourite that I can just watch over and over again.
His voice genuinely terrified me when I first watched Star Wars as a kid. Enjoyed him in FoD as well as CtA RIP Lord Vader
