James Dunne of Stevenage is the latest player said to be interesting SOD but he has to sell before he can sign anyone.

Marvin Elliott, Neil Kilkenny and Stephen Pearson and recent signing Liam Kelly remain on the books and SOD will almost certainly have to move at least one of those on if he is to free up cash to fund new signings. I wonder who will be the first to go..?

The post are ****ing terrible. They really need someone new to take over Bristol city journalism. This came out about a month ago. They've turned a article about Dunne into one about what SOD has said the other day so it will get more interest, Which it wont..... Lazy lazy stuff!

But they are right in a sense it's something that was obvious to some of us sometime back that some players would have to be shipped out to get new ones in due to the salary cap.

In order of preference I would like shipped out
    Kilkenny
    Pearson
    Elliott
    Kelly from midfield

    Fontaine
    Foster
    Nyatanga from defence

As for who will be first to go unless something strange happens I can't see any of those leaving other than Nyatanga (OOC) or perhaps Elliott as they would struggle to get wages close to what they were getting at the Gate elsewhere now.

They will go if SO'D does what managers in days gone by used to do; make them train with the Reserves (U21's) and don't pick them for team or the bench. They'll soon get the message.

Fontaine is so thick skinned I doubt if even that would register how many times has he been dropped before due to bad form but the rest of the defence was so injury prone or out of form as well he always got recalled as there was noone else to play.

As shown with the Southampton deal. Fontaine is so injury prone he cannot pass a medical to leave so we are stuck with him until he is out of contract next summer.
Nyatanga is an odd one as he has been offered a new contract by the club and there has been no word of him accepting it or rejecting. He has been linked with a few championship clubs so I guess it is a case of if one does come in he will be gone.
Think all four of those midfielders need to go which includes Kelly which I know most on here rate as we have players like Reid coming through and now Wynter has joined which are both similar to Kelly style of trying to get forward and moving the ball. With Reid being the face of the new kit you would imagine he will get game time as why use something who is not going to be playing.

It will be interesting to see in pre season if SOD will go with 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1).

Choice between City, Bournemouth or Celtic easy no contest.

    He would go to Celtic.
