I would imagine that no-one is really in a position to comment one way or the other - it is just one of a whole heap of transfer rumours. Having said that, most, in fact probably all, of our signings over the last couple of years have been 'unheralded' - we tend to be very secretive in our dealings. So I would not be at all surprised if this turns out to be just another rumour that doesn't come to fruition. But you never know........
I agree with everything BB has said about us being secretive. Then again, we have a habit of going after players we feel have wrongly slipped through the net. And £400k does seem like the sort of fee a tribunal would make us pay for someone who was in League Two last season.
Only other hint is that we are supposed to be playing a friendly against Shrewsbury...League cup dates pending
What's his strengths / weaknesses Matster? We are not sure what's going on behind the scenes at the moment but he could be ont he radar.
