So many Saturdays leaving Carrow Road with a transistor radio to my ear, listening to his dulcet tones sing out the footy results, happy days

JAG was the radio version of Len Martin on BBCTV. Both excellent at what they did and were fixtures and fittings throughout most of my life, it is another sad day.
 
You could also play the guessing game if you were just listening and not looking at the Tv screen of what team's were actually scoring due to his tone
