The kid seems to be full of heart and isn't afraid to get vocal.................. especially where this current shower of **** squad is. Its about time Colo was put out to pasture and some new, young blood injected into the squad. Id like to see him made captain, sweep out the 'old guard' and start a new 'era'.................. regardless of which division we are in.
Snap. I like his attitude and the fact that he'll speak his mind it seems in a dressing room full of "old" pros. That's older football professionals for Chippy and JPF.
Seriously one game though he's promising but to start thinking hes actually going to be captain is a little much just yet. If he had missed the header and we didn't win you would all still be saying we're ****e and need two cbs
And if...and if...and if... The point is he didn't miss the header and we did win and, according to reports I've read, he did have a pop at the non tryers last week. So far, what's not to like? Pantsy, turn your glass upside down mate, it'll be half full then.
Look mate if you really think we played well yesterday that's fine, however im entitled to my opinion which was that Swansea were dreadful, we played terrible football and we got the luck on the day. As for as lacelles is concerned he played well, but until he does it for say 12 games im not going to start talking about him as captain
He repeated his comments post match as well, good lad, decent defender and he's impressed me for a lot longer than one match. He and Chancel should keep playing together, bye bye Colo/Saylor. Having a player at left back helped no end.
So you are going to judge a young and new cb against a team who are a top 4 PL and in semi finals of champions league? Jeezus! Someone has really wronged you in life - we have just won 3-0, scored 3, a clean sheet, a vocal defender for the first time in years, a defender who has scored and you can't just let out a little bit of positivity?
No i just know we will lose and there's no point bigging him up unless he is actually consistent. I believe people were saying gini for captain early on and look hes **** now.
Chaos is right the result really flattered to deceive. They could have gone 3-1 up if not for some strange force field around our goal before the ball fell luckily to sissoko. I like lacelles attitude though and that's the key point. I'm not saying captain material yet because I do not know if he is actually premiership quality. But next season when we do go down. And by this I still think we will we can have him at CB. Then he can prove his metal and then possibility work up to being a captain. It's easy to shout out at your team mates when your not captain but if you are then it can have a negative impact. Being a captain should be about knowing your team mates and knowing what buttons to press to get that little bit extra out of them.
I'll agree with you on the performance. We looked pretty flimsy until the second goal. Hopefully we continue to meet teams having off days in our remaining fixtures.
He's a big ****in unit and seems to be quite mobile too. I like the lad a lot. If we go down then Mbemba and Lascelles as first choice CB's us a must.
He needs to prove himself over this season and the next and fully establish himself in the first team....promising in the few games he's played, but then we all thought the same when we first saw Saylor. The fact he speaks his mind is refreshing, and right now we need a character like that in this dressing room, and unlike Joey Barton he's more than just an outspoken big mouth and actually is an asset on the pitch too. Huge difference in defence yesterday with Lascelles and Dummett in place of Saylor and Janmaat, we've gotta stick with this next game
No. I don't believe he is good enough to be a regular at this level. I like him though as he is up for the fight. Good enough to be back up. We need a quality partner for Mbemba. A leader. We need to ship Colo and Taylor. All academic if we go down as looks likely.
