    Has been released from Shrewsbury:

I for one thought he was a good player, and he's got a good record - plays as a striker or winger and can bang the goals in too.

What do we think? Personally I can't believe the Shrews loaned him out in favour of Le Donk up front...

Can't say I would be overjoyed. He's too predictable. Can't kick with his left foot.

Clayton Donaldson would be an interesting option.

If he's not prolific in league 2 then I don't see Robinson being much good to us. Hopefully Grant could have a word with Donaldson as I've liked what I've seen of him.

Apparently McGleish is in talks with Bradford. I still think he could do a good job in league 1. We need a striker who knows his way around the six yard box to finish off all the chances our other hard working, unselfish strikers create!

Hate to say this but I agree with Alexman-poo, there isn't a cats chance in hell we will sign Donaldson, nor will be get anywhere near the likes of Le Fondre or some of the other daft names that have been chucked about on here. We need to remember we are not one of the favorites for promotion from League 1 and there are a hell of a lot of other clubs with bigger wage budgets and better odds of going up who these people would probably rather sign for, let alone teams in Championship. I'm not shooting us down in flames here, it just annoys me when people moan about who we have signed and then come up with stupidly unreal alternatives like Donaldson. Of course I'd like to see him at Wycombe, who wouldn't. I'd also like to see Messi, and perhaps Michael Owen now he's passed it, but it ain't gonna happen.

Me, I think we should sign Messi.

I agree with you Jock. Donaldson and Le Fondre are the types of strikers we need to get us to the next level, but they are players who will be joining clubs who are already where we want to be. I do think we're a club on the up but these players should be getting better offers and I'd prefer us to keep within our means financially rather than spend over the odds. Next season is about consolidation and then we'll take it from there.
