Captain Phil is set to miss out against Arsenal tomorrow. His loss makes it more difficult to get the victory, but I feep confident Stones and Distin can take Giroud/Bendtner.

    Should be interesting.

    We'll probably start Sanogo.

I'm not so sure that Martinez is being 100% straight here! I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jags made a remarkable recovery in the next 36 hours

It'll be giroud or Sanogo rather than bendtner.

I heard that Koscielny was a major doubt for you lads?

I think he's been great this season, reads the game well and covers for lack of pace of the big Gerry.

The game for me rests on whether we're clinical or not, we've been powder puff in front of goal since before Christmas. We need the returning Lukaku to have a great day if we're to progress imo, otherwise I can see you taking it 1-0.

Yeh agree Tobes...I think Jelavic being sold was a mistake tbh I know he wasn't on fire but I think a few starts and he would have been better than a striker on loan with a duff hamstring

He's quality, he's got a big future ahead of him. His goal against arsenal was equally brilliant and heartbreaking lol

He had a tight thigh while with France and was on the bench rather than playing as a precaution so it's still all up in the air at the moment, hope he is bk but verm could use some game time now that he is bk from injury and it's a cup game.

Pienaar played far too long and Deulofeu brought on when the game was over

A 4-1 defeat was a bit harsh we need to start scoring when we break not run to the area and turn Into crabs and pass sideways or back...

Barkley has to score those type of chances If he did today we go 1-2 up and Its a different game

Pienaar wasted a great chance too, and Lukaku was too selfish when it was 3 on 2.

    ...& so it proved.

Lukaku had to square the ball for either Mirallas or Barkley just before HT & Barkley should have found the target when set up brilliantly by Lukaku on the hour mark. Both should have lead to goals and both happened with the score @ 1-1.

Once Barry gifted them the penalty, the game was as good as over.

We missed Jags experience and calm head, and wtf he picked Robles to play behind the very inexperienced Stones is beyond me, he was bloody awful and did nothing to give confidence to the back 4 with his weak punching & all round nervous display.

Yesterdays events at the Etihad make our exit even more disappointing, another tepid display in a massive game from us,

100% agree Tobes why the **** the no2 keeper gets the nod In an Important game like that I never know It seems to be the fashion these days? I am concerned how Baines keeps getting sucked In to central defensive position and has to keep galloping out to block crosses we got away with It against Arsenal but Its been happening too much
