Another mouth watering home game coming up against our Ex captain/manager. Everton are on a bit of a roll but im confident we can halt that with a tough but hard fought win.....2 - 1 Ki, and gomis to score...

Hope we finally beat Everton in the league for the first time, think we have a real good chance. Will take any win, but will go for 3-2

Rangel will be up against Baines and whoever's in front of him. Slight concern?

More than slight. Naughton has shown he's a level above Rangel imo.

But I don't rate this Everton team at all so we'll never have a better chance. 2-0 Swans. Gomis on the scoresheet again.

Excellent optimism on this thread #fingers-crossed

Which side of the pitch does Lennon play on?

We beat them convincingly in the Cup where Jeff was unstoppable and against a very good 11 , so why not. It depends if Monk continues with the diamond formation then we may have a problem with Baines running at Rangel unless of course Amat fills in at that position being a bit quicker .

I agree. I'd go with Amat at right back for this game unless Monk decides to go with 3 at the back and have Leon sit in behind of the diamond midfield formation with Gomis and Routs in the attacking positions as Leon/Jack can then interchange to cover that are of the pitch.

In all fairness they have hit a bit of form in the last few games. So am looking at a 1-1. However if Montero is fit and we can get behind their slow back 4 then we can take this.

If Montero is fit, we should deploy him on the right as that would nullify Baines attacking threat on the left <ok>

Rangel will start and I have to say I think Baines is totally overrated, take his dead balls away from his game and I don't rate him and he is someone we can get at.

I agree about Baines - not a bad player by any means but apart from his dead ball skills I don't see what the fuss is about. Not sure if Monty is fit for this one? If he's anywhere near I think he'll start on the bench. Looks like a nice day if a little windy. Almost perfect conditions so no excuses, let's do this.

I feel we need a little more pace on the left second half.
