After a six year battle with breast cancer, the lady has finally succumbed to her illness. I knew next to nothing of the ladies writings, but was surprised at the amount of success Jackie Collins achieved during her career. The 77 year old wrote 32 novels, all of which appeared on the New York Times best seller list. So well read was the lady, that somewhere in the vicinity of half a billion copies of her works were sold in about forty countries over a forty year period.
