Hi guys im 16 and i support my local side Hereford United i also am a huge gooner -however due to £ and geographical location i have not been able to visit the impressive Emirates stadium. I would also love to get into journalism and more specifically football. I have written a piece on jack wilshere and i would be grateful of feedback-this is my first piece Cheers guys Industrious, influential and accomplished are many words to describe Arsenalâs number 19 Jack Wilshere. Wilshere first rose to prominence in the Summer of 2009 in the Emirates cup; his sublime skill, tantalising vision and his audacity shone through as he picked up to man of the match awards throughout the two day competition. He also chipped in with two vital goals vs Rangers to enhance his growing credentials even further. In January 2010 at the tender age of 18 Jack made the move across to join up with Owen Coyleâs Bolton Wanderers side; he proved a revelation for wanderers. He made his Bolton debut against Manchester city, lining up against a former gunner in Patrick Viera. The opposition never seemed to faze this kid with him showing maturity beyond his age. After his fist competitive premier start Wanderers boss Owen Coyle described Jack as a âgifted individual âand said âheâs clever, bright and has a football brain âThe spell at Bolton helped Jack make the transition from a boy to a man! At the start of the 2010-2011 season Jack made his first competitive Arsenal start against a tough Liverpool side that included debutant Joe Cole. Jack grabbed the game with both hands and impressed the Arsenal faithful. He followed that up with assist vs newly promoted Blackpool. He then shone on his championâs league debut and once again grabbed another valuable assist. After an impressive month for jack the Arsenal faithful crowned him player of the month for September the first honour he would receive in the 2010/2011 season. Jack signed a long term contract at Arsenal in early November 2010 showing how highly this youngster is rated by Arsenal and again illustrates how prominent the Arsenal youth set up is. Jack enhanced his own credentials even further with a breathtaking performance in the champions league against the champions Barcelona; a team many considered to be the best in the world against players like Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta. On that night the footballing world noticed what Arsenal fans already knew. Jack was one of the worldâs best after completing a staggering 93.5 per cent pass completion rate . After that sublime performance gunners manager Arsene Wenger described the then 19 year olds performance as âoutstandingâ. To crown a fruitful 2010/2011 season Jack picked up the prestigious âPFA young player of the year awardâ He topped that by being named in the Pfa team of the year along with Arsenal teammate Bacary Sanga. Arsenal fans crowned this exceptional talent as their player of the season ahead of fans favourite Cesc Fabregas. Although the 2011/2012 season proved a disappointing one for Jack due to a stress fracture suffered against the New York red bulls, Jack however underwent surgery to try and counteract this problem; which would prove successful, but unfortunately that ruled him out for 5 months. On January 27 Jack suffered a recurrence of an ankle injury, He was then ruled out for the remainder of the season. Jack could miss the start of the 2012/2013 season due to the persistent injury. Arsenal fans will be hoping Jack makes a speedy recovery to try and force Arsenal into a title challange. One thing is certain is that Jack Wilshere is the future of Arsenal football club
Well yeah , I pretty much agree with all of the above. Wilshere is one of the best young players i've ever seen. Truely a TOP class talent.(and a gooner!) lets just hope he gets back to full-fitness quickley so he can have an impact on this Season.
