Yeah due to a technicality he got paid £2million plus interest elton john lent the club and had thought had been written off before he sold. We are probably still paying for petchs trust!
Lots of water under lots of bridges but he for sure is not a bad person. I remember chanting 'Petchey out' but we didn't really know what was going on in those days. News (or should that be rumours) came out in dribs and drabs and largely from the Watford Observer. But what he has done for the youth and as an example of how you don't need a silver spoon in your mouth - Good luck to him - not that he needs it from the sound of it
I think he is a bad person - he knew Elton had "waived" those loans and he did not purchase them but he then took the near £3million from Watford as a result - that makes him bad in my book. That was an immense amount of money in those days
Not so much fingers in the till , more he took the till, counter, and shop as well! Maybe the good things he does for kids helps to appease his conscious!
