Hi Jacks & Jackie's.......Well here i am with my family in ventura colorado and i must say it is a beautiful place to visit if you can, We got here yesterday and booked into a nice hotel, the swans are also here somewhere but have not seen anyone as yet,,,,I took a walk this mornin to where the swans are playing and the stadium is very nice but small, i think holds about 5,000 and they (ventura) are a newish club formed in 2004 and entered the league in 2006.....This i was told by a local.....everyone here is in olympic mode and im also watching the opening ceremony on the telly....swansea is welcomed on every billboard and people want to shake my hand all the time and talk about swansea, some are very knowledgeable and that surprised me a lot.....I will be going to the match tomorrow with a few ventura fans who i have met and after the match i am swapping my brand new swans top that i just bought to come out here for one of theirs,,,,So i have to buy another bloody one now.... On sunday we make our way to denver and late on monday we start our journey home and shall arrive back home sometime on tuesday......I think we will play the same format as the colorado game with the exception of vorm to did not play last time....we should win as ventura are equivalent to llanelli and port talbot sides but they are excited about playing what they call a big club from the english premiership league ... I have tried to explain its not called that but they dont seem to grasp it.....never mind.....I'm off soon for what they all call dinner over here and i call tea or supper..lol....ill try and give my views of the match if i have time tomorrow ...if not when i get home to gods land....see ya....
Glad you're enjoying your trip. We've got more Liverpool posters than Swans posters on the board at the moment. We need you back to tip the balance back in our favour!

But didn't you just say on another thread that you're part British? Wtf? Even though Mabon and others like him are anti the idea of a GB football team I can't imagine they'd cheer on a foreign team.
Back home at last. Well the match against ventura was another good work out and really we should have won 10 -1, even without joe and scott and caulks we passed the ball very well......the one thing that is very worrying is the same as last season ...finishing!...Mr laudrup will definately be looking for a more consistent striker as we wont get far and guarantee a better chance of staying up this season without goals......ventura were an equivalent to a good non league club and we out played them of the park but our finishing was below even their standard which was shocking.....so i hope that side of the team gets sorted and quick....leroy has been about the best hitting the post twice and he is very good at taking players on but i cant see where the goals are going to come from enough to keep us out of the relegation battle where goal difference will be a major factor.....the goal that saved our blushes was a cross by danny to moore who got us the goal after 20 or so minutes and we deserved it with the amount of possession we had,,,,,,We looked good and well in control and the new boys did not look out of place but the end product was not good as we missed chance after chance....If only we had taken half the chances then ventura could not complain if we won by double figures......Oh well lets see how they do against another very good side as the earthquakes and try and improve our finishing......enjoyed every moment of my trip and the wife loved the shopping but im glad to be home even though jet lagged getting ready for the new season.......PS..have to buy a new shirt
