Jack Hobbs was absolute quality today between him and James Chester, Miller or for that matter the rest of the Forest attack never got a look in!.

I've been critical in the past and today I've had to suck my neck in! He's made quiet a few do the same today.

Others who have been knocked include big Dele, what a handful he was, looked strong and sharpe:grin: Big well done on today's appearance.

Mckenna set up the goal (I think) and was solid.

Rosey, Dudge, Koren and co were excellent today. Same old City, always winning!!

Oh we paid on the day £65 for 4 of us, same seats at Barnsley cost us £85!!ffs

    Hope todays performance gets repeated.

Agree with The Adebola and Hobbs part, not sure about the Mc Kenna part though

Burnsy and Swanny both said Hobbs was MOTM today. Glad he is getting some of the praise at last.

Hopefully this will get people off Hobbs' back. He's got the potential to become a very solid centre half, and seems to be getting better game by game, just like he did last season. We've just got to believe in him!

Chester and Hobbs did very well today under a lot of pressure in the 1st half.
I think Pearson got his subs spot on today Cairney was poor again and I think that was Bradys worst game for us.
Mckenna brought a bit of energy and life in the middle and Big Dele was a real handful.
The last 2 games now 4-3-3 has got us the points late on.

One game does not make him a world beater. Please he got his MOTM accolade today though. Next game he could be the villain. Hope not though, hope I, like the creator of this thread, Jobboshinpad, that he can grow and come good, but I cant help feel its a one off in a game were Chester has'nt had to carry him.

I dont see what your problem with Hobbs is?
Hes had a decent season today wasnt a one off.
Hes a young centre half in a young back 4 with a great record hes only going to get better with age.
Give the bloke a break yet another clean sheet.

A few more MOTM performances like today then maybe. His BASIC passing games needs huge improvement. When he fooks up a 6-8 yard pass he gives up and punts long everytime, thus giving away cheap possession as it just comes straight back at us.

He has to be one of the worst Pro Footballers I've ever seen with the ball at his feet.

I know he's in the team to defend and stop the oposition scoring which is all very well but when a pro footballer cannot play a simple pass its a bit worrying, Chester is the complete opposite to this but neither are great in the air.

Pleased he did well today though. Would like to think he could be another Turner in the making.

You dont deserve to have any opinions on football in general never mind specifics about Hull City and the players

Get back to watching Liverpool or Man U or whoever else you support on a part time basis

THETIGERSHULL, Do you actually support the Tigers, or do you sit in the away section of the north stand every home game.

You are very lucky then! There have been so many worse players to have played for us, and even worse for other teams.

From what I've seen of Hobbs I'm very happy he's in our defence.

Some time defenders have to clear the ball in order for the team to regain shape I dont want him trying defence splitting through balls.
I think hes pretty relaxed on the ball and I dont panic when its at his feet like I do with Mcshane or other players we ve had in the past.
Some wild comments from you today thetigershull!

I've said all season long that Hobbs is a good player.

Todays performance was not a one off
or a flash in the pan .
His performance against Posh was a ten out of ten .
He was like a terminator .

Can you think of an away game where Brady has done well? He seems to be very much a home game player.

Agree with the above post that CBs do sometimes have to hoof it away sometimes and I'd much rather have a defender that does that than one who pussyfoots about and loses it in front of goal like Gardner and Zayatte used to. Chester can do it without messing it up wich is why he is PL class but that is a bonus. If Hobbs doesn't hav that bonus skill so what? It's not something that's really necessary.

Nice to see some people are finally giving Adebola a chance. Everyone has been treating him as a joke and writing him off before he even plays. I've been saying for ages that we will need him at some point and we should reserve judgement until he actually plays, even if it's just those 2 sub appearances while Waggy has been out, he's come on to help us get the winner and we've got it both times. Hopefully people will support him next time we need him.

Brady needs to get back to running at pace at his full back for some reason now he stops and starts walking towards them and 9 times out if 10 gives away the ball.
Hes young and learning I like him but he needs to get back to running at players with step overs get down the wing and cross the ball thats his job and hes good at it.

I thought he was fantastic against Cardiff and the home games before that, but Watford was very difficult for him because they were so defensive. But I really can't remember a game where he has done well away from home.

I agree but that could be down to the way we play away from home we are more of a defensive unit away he sees a lot more of the ball at the KC.

I don't rate Adebola, but I think the last two games have showed why we signed him, he's a handful and his introduction has definitely aided us to two wins.

That's probably why Adam picked Nigel over me for the managers job. <laugh>
