"Jack Grimmer's loan spell at Shrewsbury Town has been cut short after Fulham Football Club exercised a recall clause in the arrangement. The 20-year-old, who usually plays at centre-back or right-back, turned out seven times for the Shrews. He started each game in a run of five straight victories in Sky Bet League Two, and played 90 minutes in the narrow 2-1 home defeat against Chelsea in the Capital One Cup. His initial one-month loan deal, signed on Saturday October 18th, had been extended until Saturday January 3rd, but the Scotland Under-21 international will now return to Motspur Park" Source: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2014/november/24/grimmer-recalled Your guess is as good as mine whether it's to fill the troublesome right back slot or because of Dan Burn's suspension. Whichever, it has always been a surprise to me that of all the younger players he was the one that never featured under Felix or Kit .. until now!?
By all accounts he has been good at Shrewsbury. Such a young side for this Championship and at some point we will become good. I've been itching to see this guy in action.
My guess is that it's to play RB. I can't see why Kit would recall him just because Burn is missing for a game. He got a bit of game time at a level that was below him. Hopefully now is his time to shine for us.
With our recent problems at right back, Grimmer's got to be worth a try, hasn't he? Like others, I've had high hopes for Grimmer (possibly more on the basis of comments on this board than anything else!)
