I thought that Jack Cork showed today that we may have secured the long-term replacement for Leon - and at £3m - a real bargain.

    Thoughts?

Yes he was terrific today doing all tidying up and breaking up play superbly. Close run thing between him and Ki for man of the match. Potentially he could be one of our best signings.

Valley - I thought that he handled Fellaini pretty well - probably that's the best we have dealt with the big guy since we've come into the PL.

How was the balance with Ki, Jonjo, Gylfi and Jack in a diamond?

To be honest, the downside with the formation was that we allowed the opposition too much space down the flanks.

Personally, I prefer our normal formation - but, hey the change worked today!

We've been crying out for Plan B, Plan C etc

It worked but that meant we gave them too much space to launch their attacks , although we nullified their chances to around the area it was still uncomfortable viewing at times. When you see the likes of Young , Valencia come on for defenders then you know we were up against it , my one criticism was the timing of our 1st sub ,we had weathered lot of pressure but with no outlet what ver ball we won it was then coming straight back at us . That said we thoroughly deserved the win , no luck just a 100% effort from the boys in white.<applause>

Yes I thought Jack's been pretty good from the time he's joined us actually but some disagreed. Great game today and very Leonesque. <applause>

Does it really matter he has signed for us simple i have always thought he was a very good player who would fit in well with our style of play but after the exodus at southampton i didnt think they would let him out the door

Especially for a measly £3 million. It was a great signing.

Weren't we after Cork when Brendon was manager?
He did play well on Saturday.
Hope Naughton picks up his game in the same way.
I'd like to see him and Leon or Carroll sitting in front of the back four (three even) - we might even try keeping possession too.

I am with you, I thought both Cork and Naughton were excellent, I like others thought the formation exposed us quite a bit down both flanks and both Taylor and Naughton done well despite this. Back to Cork Thought he had a great game and showed good energy, I think he gets through a lot of unnoticed work. Going to be a great signing.

Well liked player at Southampton. No frills but wins the ball, breaks up play and uses the ball well. We have 2 excellent defensive midfielder and a few good youngins coming through, which is why he wished to leave. Hope he does well for you, he deserves a long run in a good footballing team
