Charlie Nicholas has just sung his praises. Said he had an excellent game and that him an Cattermole bossed the midfield in the second half.

Me thinks we wont miss Henderson. Excellent piece of business by Sunderland

Always looked cool, calm and collected on the ball.

He was given some rough treatment in the middle of the park today but just got up, and got on with it!

Bruce deserves credit for starting him, he finished last season on a high and has obviously continued to impress in pre-season and training! <ok>

going to be a good player for us and making it hard for Gardner to get into the side

keep it up lad, shows the strength in depth now when we can have a bench with Bramble, Westwood, Wickham, Ji, Vaughan and Gardner

2more signings (Kranjcar? & Bellamy?) and we are realy looking healthy

Im sorry but we NEED a proper left back. Even if we sign a good, top of the Championship left back, Id reckon theyd be more solid and reliable than Richardson.

Every good performance that Colback puts in the better the Henderson deal sounds. Don't get me wrong I think Henderson is a good player and he's going to get better but at the minute I think we're better off without him. Colback, Catts AND Gardner (who I was surprised wasn't starting) are all better than Hendo in the middle and Larsson seems to have a but more cutting edge about him and can finish like he did today!

I'd love to have kept Henderson but the money was very, very good and we're a better team because of it.

I thought Colback did well second half but he was anonymous in the first half.

I might get shot down, but Personally I would pick Gardner in front of him next week

I dunno, Apone. What impressed me most was he was kicked all over the ground and never retaliated or twisted. That coolness under pressure in a young lad is awesome. I think I'd play him.

Whats that got to do with Colback?

Over the moon that Bruce stuck with form, would have been so easy to drop Colback so well done Steve

    Me too.

I think he went with Jack & Catts to keep it tight, bar the first 25 mins or so, worked a treat.

We schooled the midfield second half, absolutely and utterly bossed it.

Our lass would be better than Ricco.

She has a bigger chest too.

Jack has the potential to be world class, lets hope he achieves it.

We still have young Meyler to come back anarl.

Absolute spot on. Mind you, you won't get away with saying it on here. Same with the brown thing, I wrote an article saying he was class and you had people like commachio who don't have a clue, saying he's dire lol

Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I was all for Brown months ago when we first put a bid in, the vast majority thought i was bonkers, and they didnt want him at all, yes, its only been 1 game, and he may get injured in training this week, but signs are very good and some doubters are seriously coming around to just how good he could be, but even if they dont, its a free world with free thought, where they can have their own opinions, if everyone agreed all the time, it would be a rather boring forum/world wouldnt it.
