I decided not to even bother looking on here after the Brum match because I knew what the general mood would be like.

I was at Birmingham and I've got to say although we lost, I'm still thinking positive. Second half we looked the best we have done since the slump began. Just needed a finishing touch to put the ball in the net but otherwise I thought we were decent.

In particular I was impressed with Colback. Much was made of him when he was in our reserves with Henderson & co but he never really hit it off in the first team.

He didn't do anything spectacular he just kept it solid in the middle, didn't lose the ball easily and made some decent passes. Best first team game for us IMO.

Glad to see Meyler on the bench too. He's been very unlucky with injuries but he looked good before the problems. He also looks like he's desperate to get back in the team. He came out at half time to train in Brum and give a 'come on!!' sort of fist pump and looked like he was up for a scrap.

Wigan is make or break for the whole season. Bring it on.

he looked ok mate, but wait for the calls for the golden boys to return,

colback and noble to start?

Pity riveros never got a good run in team but he's going so stick with Colback.

Meyler potentionally going to the top. Love his attitude (Kevin ballesque) but 2 bad injuries so early concerns me.

I saw Colback a couple of years ago when Sunderland Reserves came to play Jersey's first team - Jersey lost 5-0! He looked pretty good then, but I've not seen much of him since then.
