He can't be left out of the starting line-up against Arsenal!I rate this lad,and surely,he'll start against Arsenal. If he doesn't start and PDC picks Vaughan, then,IMO,the Italian mafia have backed us to go down!!!

Wish we got a 2nd LB, Colback would be much welcome addition to the midfield mix given our present options. I'd have him CM over Larsson, Gardner and Vaughan.

I'd definitely play him in centre midfield instead of Vaughan.

Who do we put at Left Back as Dossena isn't fit.

He's also refused a new contract - not sure of the reasons but have heard different reports from different sources - none of them are Jack or SAFC so not sure what to believe.

I personally think he's a better left back than he is CM - although I do think he's better in CM than Larsson, Vaughan and Gardner!! Personally I'd be looking to play Cabral against Arsenal but we also need a "Cattermole" against them as we have lacked that so far this season (Gardner likes a tackle but has been pretty poor in CM every time he's played there for us) This may be his game. Cabral seems to read the game well so should work against a footballing side - he was terrible against MK but excellent against Fulham.

Must be just me then...I think Jack is no more than an average player, very useful squad player tho' As has been mentioned, if he doesn't sign a new contract, let see what kind of club comes in for him... I don't dislike him..he is just OK, not sure where this adulation for the lad comes from to be honest, i've seen nothing to warrant that.

I think along the same lines.

Whilst agreeing he is a better option in cm than Larsson and Vaughan I have my doubts he will make it as a good premier league cm.

I think he has more chance of making a decent lb (where its not as important for him to create chances or score goals)

Decent LB poor CM at best although as some have said good player to have in the squad, would still prefer an out and out LB and why did we sign a player that is crocked?

Why would we not want to keep a guy who can fill a couple of spots, agree he,ll never be a world better but still a good man to have when needed, both full back and centre midfield, think he,s best left back though

Component left back, frustratingly limited centre midfielder. If Dossena can prove he's up to the task of being a Premier League left back (I have my doubts) then id still have Colback in centre midfield ahead of Vaughan Larsson and Gardner. He'd be behind Cabal Cattermole and Ki however.

If Jacky boy is outstanding then I am outstanding too. Although not a footballer I am outstanding in my field. I am a farmer.

    A llama farmer.

What I like about Colback is he is calm under pressure, his got good passing ability & his got class ball control. very underrated in my eyes & will get better with age.

The problem is that any accurate passes he makes are sideways or backwards. Lacks the vision and ability to play key passes.
