I'd say at least 60% of the DR readers are mainly reading for the news on Rangers (stupid buns), they have always pushed for that market. The next largest group (smart timmies) has already moved away from the written press and are far more comfortable with the 'internet bampots'.

 

It's true though ML. If the likes of Jabba had spent less time with their tongues up Murray's dunger and spent more time asking questions like "how can you afford these players?" or reporting bullshit about casinos then maybe Rangers might not have ended up in the state they did.

It's their job to ask questions but they are guilty of a dereliction of duty.

 

That may be true, but whenever I see an article copy and pasted with brackets at the end of pretty much every paragraph, I know the person who posted it is beelin'.

Traynor is a *****, but probably on the same level as all Scottish sport journos. They all pander to individual markets of idiots. Their job nowadays isn't so much as to ask questions, it's to generate controversy and discussion.

 

Do you think that, once the new season starts, Traynor will write some sort of public apology for his months of scaremongering and dity fat bastard tactics of pushing the panic button whenever he writes a new column?

Meh, I'm OK with that as long as it's critical/analytical - also, print articles are used as evidence in online arguments.
