Lettuce brought this site up in an earlier thread. Not 606 went down a little earlier so I went and had a look. It was worse than the old 606. There were a couple of old posters who's names I recognised, but the VAST majority on our board were WUMs and tossers. There were three 'pool supporters on there. I can safely say I will never go back there again. Have any of you been on it and if so, what did you think? Utter s...e!

I never really liked the old 606 layout to be honest. I did sign up but only when it was nearly closing and most threads were WUM's and advertising other forums. I only used it because it was the only forum that would work in school and had SOME decent posts. Not 606 is a million times better and better yet my new college won't have it blocked (I think). I'm doing an IT course aswell meaning I'll be on the computer most, if not all the time!

Yes, Sky, that knobhead was there. I think Knotty Ash was as well. It was exactly the same lay out as the old 606, but just a mess. This board is far more civilised, due to our high quality mods . I can see why lettuce likes it, though. Right up his street.
Why would you want to go to the EXACT same thing? If one thing goes, you have to go on to bigger and better. Can do a lot more on this site than the old 606 and that's what is good about it.
I've had a look before but I've never thought of joining. When I heard 606 was closing I looked at this place and realised it's potential. The first thing I did was apply for modship with the promise of getting rid of some rather horrid wums and help build the Liverpool forum from the ground up. I also made a point of not spamming 606 with articles to get people to join, I insterad advertised in my username and praised the other sites and if there were any "OMG WITCH SItE SH4LL I jiON LOLZ??" Articles I just said "Go with what suits you" Had not606 not come about i'd have probably joined the board at the official site (I like RAWK but I get a bit lost in the crowd, I only really go there for the photoshop thread)
I remember popping over and the first thing I saw was something along the lines of "F*** LIVERPOO!" and just hate hate hate. Turned a lot of people away for a long while too...

To be fair Bozz i joined this site around the same time as you and it was crazy at that time with the worst type of wumming possible everywhere,so i stayed off here for a while until it stabilised. Yourself and the other mods have done a great job and its now the best alternative to the original 606 by miles.
I was on 606 for about 6 years... it was more of a habit I couldn't break than any real positive impression on the forum and how it was run. I agree not606 has a much better layout and format. I looked at Ja606 and decided it looked too much like the old 606 and that this one looked better.
its good for a giggle, but most the posters u cannot see these days due to wum filters lol, its proper madness on their, good for a lugh but not good for debate.
Not 606 feels more homely, more of a forum with proper debate and far less WUMs. I guess Bozz deserves some credit for building the board and the rest of the mods deserve credit for keeping it all in order.
