Sad news that he has died at the age of only 37, following a car accident.
I remember his few loan appearances for Gills ( 2001 ) - a young, decent full back in the making -- certainly would have liked to have kept him at GFC.

Played for Gills slightly before I started going but I remember him playing many games at the highest level of the Premier League for Aston Villa and being a stalwart of their side for many years. Far too young to lose a life, RIP JLloyd.

They did tweet about their condolences but I agree an article on the O/S would have done more justice to him.
