Ivory Coast lose final on penalties

Discussion in 'Arsenal' started by Jayram_Football, Feb 12, 2012.

  1. Unfortunately it was Gervinho who missed the decisive penalty. I hope he can recover quickly mentally. His penalty was terrible.

I was hoping that he could pick up some confidence but this is probably the worst outcome.

He needs to practice finishing when he returns, over and over again.

Once again today, his play was good, but in front of goal his confidence seems shot to pieces.

Anyway, well done Zambia. Massive tribute to the team that lost their lives in 1993.

By the way, the schedule has been changed and there is another ACN next year <yikes>

Terrible game and no doubt everyone will praise Zambia because they are the underdogs and so on but their players pissed me off.

The ACON has actually been pretty dull this year.

  4. Agree, pretty low standard, and awful pitches.

Still I do give Zambia credit. They have rebuilt after their 93 disaster and it's a great moment for them.

Another Question of Sport question: Which African team lost a tournament without conceding a single goal <laugh>
