I have never been a Mourinho fan but ever since I can remember and that's well over 50 years always been a "fan" of Man Utd from the days of cigarette cards ( ABOUT 1954/55 )and for some reason the attraction Dennis Violet, Edwards Taylor, Byrne cards that I used to have more of than any others.. I think at one time I had enough of the man utd players to have made 20 sets the only problem was I needed about 600 to complete them .... lol
I find it rather strange to feel "euphoric" when they win but when they lost last night ..I audibly stated ONE word YES and thought up yours Jose , I thought the same Saturday and I don't like Man City

Like you I used to like Man U when I was a kid. Best, Charlton, Law, Kid, Stepney, Fitzpatrick and co. What wasn't there to like ?
And after the Munich disaster (before my time) to then win the European Cup was wonderful.

And Man City were also cool with Lee, Bell, Royle, Corrigan, Oates, Booth and co.

But I don't like Mourinho or the plastic fans.

It was always stated that Manchester City were the real supporters club but now they both have fans all over the world, and the game I grew up with and loved more than anything else is simply not what it was.

But then again, nor am I perhaps.

I was heading for my last years at school ! we had a grotty B&W tele with a screen about 18" across and the news was usually same day and then repeated with pics the day after unless it was local and early..TV used to close down at 1030 -11pm ... and the nation other than night shifts .. or villains were ..the only ones about! the rest were in bed asleep!

The whole game has disappeared in to a mire of questionable ethics compounded by players and managers who only care about themselves. I can't ever see it returning to any acceptable kind of level when the monies involved rule the day and to hell with everyone else. I can't really say that the football is any better than in the days of my youth and I know a lot of others feel the same way and wonder how it happened.

Sorry if this sounds 'purist' but I don't give a monkeys about any other side but Bristol City. Never have. Ok, England too I suppose.

That having been said, I do have opinions and sympathy when teams are badly affected by bad decisions or punished harshly - or ruined by bad owners - I have a sense of fair play.

Man United along with Chelsea and a few other teams are ones that I always hope loses. Simply due to the plastic fans who do my nut in.

There is always an opportunity for a manager to proove he is worth something ..right place right time .. If LEE WAS in charge at man utd he would likey have achieved as much!
LVG had inherited a rotten apple .. got rid of the manky bits and turned Man utd into a team to be reckoned with .. the board at the mo deserve all they get ... he may come good but dosent seem to have a clue at the moment ...

    bring back LVG . .. ..:emoticon-0100-smile
    2015/16 WON 6 DREW 1 LOST 2 GF15 GA 8 +7 POINTS 19
    2016/17 WON 4 DREW 2 LOST 3 GF 13 GA 12 +1 PTS 14
I COULDNT HELP IT .. HEARD THE RESULT and raised my "fist" in the air and shouted YES ..
    I
have always been tolerant in allowing things to progress steadily and improve and always been extremely fair in my judgement .. I thought getting rid of LVG was an act of betrayal ..following on from the money sucking leech's that took over UNITED .. I am hoping Mourinho fails ...
I am not a fan of MAN city AT ALL but will be cheering them on this week .....

Chelsea v Man Utd: Jose Mourinho promises no 'crazy kid' celebrations was he expecting to lose then .....:emoticon-0140-rofl:
