The football season is over. I hate this time of the year. International weekends are bad enough. Wake me up in August.
It will be manic. Hopefully we have learnt from last summer not to judge too quickly. It was generally the later signings that mattered, but also some of the earlier ones (such as Mackie from relegated Plymouth) clearly fitted into NW's plans and were far better than expected and others were just better than expected (such as Derry).
Let's hope we keep Sir Neil first and foremost. Then it's about the backers putting their money where their mouths are, leaving the ã80m prem money for wages and clearing the club's debts.
This will be the best close season ever. We have no worries, just anticipation of what's coming, who we're gonna be signing, etc. Imagine the close season in the Jones household if Cardiff fark up AGAIN !!
I used the phrase in a message I put on the old 606, and realised then it was the way I felt about life being a QPR supporter. As I often say, who would want to support any other team? I haven't worked out if we are now at the top of the ride, or speeding down - but does it matter. I can't think of another team that will give you such an emotional ride.
I think you're spot on Rollercoaster, I think it's definitely the case of 'Once a Ranger, always a Ranger'
And what makes it even more annoying we start a week later than we have in recent seasons but I am also looking forward to see who we sign.
