I was walking the dog this morning and I met a guy I see sometimes who is a MASSIVE city fan and he said that he has got connections in the club. I'm not sure if it is true but he has been right on other things such as James Vaughan signing and Morison ages before it came out.

He has said that Wes has or wants to put in a transfer request? I have no link, and is just a rumour, but he has been right on things in the past.

    Anyone heard anything?

Please don't jump up and down on me if it isn't true! It's just what I have heard!

Well they say things always seem to happen in 'threes', so it wouldn't surprise me. Just when you think things can't get any worse <doh>

i wish people would stop panicking!!

none of the players know what is happening yet. they don't even know if lambert is going to villa (though i'm sure he will). they don't know who the new manager will be at norwich either. players aren't going to throw in transfer requests willy-nilly all of a sudden and even if one or two did, they are not people who we want at the club.

get a grip people! its football, not life or death

sorry, i wasn't suggesting it was you in particular, but if you check out twitter and other forums you'd think the club is about to die with an exodus of players and some no-hoper appointed manager!

The thing is, whether we like it or not, managers & players come & go.
Lambert was well like at Norwich thats clear to see but like players they think the grass is always greener on the other side, so they up sticks - when one leave they sense something is wrong before they or us know the truth.

I think the players should wait & see whats going on & see who the next manager is before they open their mouths.
The last 3 years has gone so well it was, it was only a matter of time before something was going to happen, sadly i didn't see it being now as we had a good season & stayed up.

I thought we had some type of embargo on Villa? If any of this is actually true which most rumours aren't then these little ****wits can hand in their requests, we'll just bang a couple of extra million to their price tag and take whoever buys them to the cleaners.

at the end of the day, the players now hold all the aces. they can hold a club to ransom if they so wish. that's what giving them all this money has done to them but why worry about it? if a player thinks he's better than our club or deserves more money or whatever it may be, i don't want them representing my club. i don't think hoolahan is that kind of guy to be honest but stranger things have happened. it's just too easy for people to make up a rumour and it spread like wildfire.

So Lambert may go to Villa and take our best players, what does that say about the Villa squad lol. What a stupid move by Lambert. If he takes some of our stars I will hope Villa get relegated.

why the bitterness? its football. would you have been like this if he'd gone to liverpool instead or is it cos villa aren't very good and you can't get your head round why he'd go there, is that why?

Probably this, like you say it's football. PL is no longer our manager he will be working for one of our rivals who could well be scrapping it out with us for survival next year. So I also want to see Villa relegated <ok>

i suppose i'm a bit surprised by the bitterness. lambert did, quite frankly, one of the most astonishing jobs in modern football to turn a disaster zone into a premier league force. i am eternally grateful to him for doing that. the fact he's leaving for another club doesn't dampen that feeling. he won't be loved anymore but we can hardly say he's leaving us in the lurch! same goes for holt to a degree but i do feel he has blotted his copybook. if and when he goes then i won't feel bitter to him either - just thankful for the memories and the quality he has shown on the pitch.

It's way things have been done. I'm not some doormat who applauds people treating them like some demi god 'Oh thank you Paul Good luck mate don't forget us' does anyone think he actually gives a **** about us? No the problem with our fans is they're too nice this is why we've been **** on in the past, it should be more like 'Cheers for three years Paul now **** off you prick and don't try to pull the same **** on us as you did with Colchester'. When is some of our fans going to get their heads round that? Luckily some people around here are toughening up.

We're all entitled to our opinions and our ways handling the matter. Let's get in a manager who cares about the club has a plan, finish in the top half and slaughter those obese mentally ill Brummie bastards next season.

drink beer and be merry we are in the PL all our players will attract good sizeable fees if they go and we will get better ones in thier place, Im thinking that we should get Snoddy and Bechio in then obviously the manager has to be Larry as he will know the whole mid field.... sorted, now where is my next Speckled Hen .......

what i don't understand is how people can genuinely believe its any more than a job to these people! northants for example seems to have thought that these people care about the club. they probably do, a bit, but not anywhere near the same levels as we the fans do. that's a bit naive to think otherwise. take for example malky mackay - he definitely does care about the club. say he takes over and does well for three years and arsenal or everton or someone like that come in for him. do you think he'll be off?

of course he would because its a big move for him. the fact villa are currently so poor clouded peoples judgement - it definitely clouded mine at the time - but taking a step back and reassessing it i can see exactly why lambert feels its a step up towards greatness for himself. its not a case that the fans are too nice, more that some haven't really thought about the situation because their own love for the club blinds them.

It's how the industry go's unfortunately and the greed of money. What I'm saying is don't expect some of us to be nice and happy for Lambert. His now the manager of another club and his certainly not our friend anymore.

Managers and players too often hide behind the phrase "That's just football" and move clubs whenever they please, ignoring contracts and previous commitments they have made to the fans. It's always the fans that suffer, the fans are the main reason the game so big, so lucrative, we're why the clubs exist. So many managers and players so show huge disrespect to the fans. Where would Holt be without Norwich? Fitting tyres in 2 or 3 years I bet. Lambert worked wonders for us yes but he didn't do it alone and of course he is entitled to leave but there are more respectful ways of doing it.

We been treated like crap over the last few weeks, Lambert has lied to us. Why not just be honest, I'd have had far more respect for him. After all we've been through together, if he starts pinching our players then I won't be hoping he succeeds at Villa. He could greatly sabotage our club if he starts persuading our players to leave. (ofcourse that hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed)

Sadly it's too much to ask of players and managers to respect the fans and the hand that feeds them.

In all honesty, Hoolahan didn't set the world alight this season anyway. I don't think he is a position at all to try and twist things at the club, and to be honest if a decent offer did come in I would happily sell him anyway. Now if Howson wanted out on the other hand, I really would be worried!

And to be honest, when it first came clear Lambert was going I was happy for him, and now I'm feeling more and more resentful to him....
