**** WYP
**** the bubble

I'm off to support the team at Huddersfield

I'm off to the pub for an afternoon session, I'll be taking 5 or 6 pints inside me on the bus, a bottle of Vodka and orange

I'm off to sing, shout, support the lads

**** the boycott, it'll have no impact to the future of policing football matches. What matters now are 8 games of football, win them and nowt else matters

Surely there is nothing to stop City fans going into Huddersfield for a few lunch time beers.
Then go out to Hartshead Moor in time to get the bus to the match.
As long as there is no provocation there should be no problem, it's not an offence to walk around a town centre in football colours.

Unfortunately I'll be working, but that's what I would have done.

Well said! I'm off to the game to support the boys too! I don't get to many games so it's time to put on the black and amber strip, and support the boys in person!

I don't agree, its not whether boring twats use TT and the loud yoof go in minibuses usually, its principal and freeman, some of the best away games i've been to are with my ex or few famils/friends and made a whole day of it, seeing some attractions pub meal blardy bla.. You get the drift.. Why should we be dictated? Why should any of us? I'd love to be standing in the away end singing all match but its too much principal for me

Some folk really don't understand the issue here.. or are just happy to be told how and when they enjoy their Saturday afternoons.. that they've looked forward to and saved up for all week. If West Yorkshire Police asked folk to do a little dance for them before entering the ground some of the spineless bar stewards knocking about on here and beyond would.

STAND UP FOR YOURSELF.

Go on then. Explain exactly what the result will be of boycotting the game, and going on the piss and watching the game, hopefully, on a TV showing Sky in Huddersfield. Exactly what benefits will be gained? Exactly what will happen afterwards? Exactly what will happen if theres ONE instance of bother?

The irony is that in all probability, the "risk" supporters the police based their actions on will still be going to Huddersfield along with a lot of others from Hull. The difference now is that the Police will have no idea where these groups will be and will have less power to control us.

The "risk" supporters who in 46 games home and away last season had less arrests than there were in one day at Ladies Day? Yes,they sound a dangerous bunch. You have to wonder if other forces get worried because of the crap which Humberside Police, in a self-serving attempt to justify themselves, serve up to them? Is it Humberside "spotters" which informed the of City fans gathering and drinking copious amounts of alcohol? Despite not once City fan being arrested for alcohol offences?
Unfortunately we seem to have to many fans quite happy to go along with the police restrictions on individual freedom without looking at the bigger, long-term, picture.

Makes me wonder if I flew into Manchester and went to Huddersfield wearing a Hull City shirt and was drinking downtown at lunchtime before the game could I get arrested?
What would be the charge? Wearing a Hull City shirt in public when the WYP said they didn't want me to, very odd state of affairs if you ask me

It's been a total cluster-**** that as been more than adequately publicised, but the team needs support. I don't think falling of a high-horse of indignation is now an appropriate way to support the promotion drive; some will and some won't but it is a choice of the individual.

The Police themselves say that the "risk" is that a group will be drinking in a pub. <laugh>

It's not even a "risk" of trouble or potential law breaking that they're hiding behind.

The team will want support on other days too. Don't forget we only get to go at all because the WYP (with no evidence to justify it) kindly allow us to albeit with restrictions that include reduced numbers. What's to stop them reducing the numbers of people "allowed" to support further in the future?

I went to the "protest march" yesterday.
Thousands walking by indifferently.
95% of people are only interested in things that affect them and will not inconvinience themselves for any kind of greater good.
Apathetic doesn"t sum it up.
No wonder bullies get away so much for so long.Pathetic.
Thank goodness People of Hull stood up against slavery and royalist control.
If they could have seen the indifference in people yesterday to a serious curtailing of personal freedom they would not have been impressed.
As for the guy who started this-I hope you see the game you deserve.I think there were a few miners in Notts who had a similar view to yourself.
Maybe you should change your user name to me me me me me
And no I am not a socialist.
I just will not accept being bullied

Excellent post.

You sum up the individualistic ‘couldn’t give a ****’ attitude that is prevalent today.
