I have less confidence in Fabio Capello as England manager than I did in Roy Hodgson as Liverpool manager.

I don't think many people have got any faith left in Capello to be honest.

We are doing O.K at the moment though... *touch wood*

He's clearly just set up the team to try and contain Spain and then just hope to nick a goal from a set piece.

The only pace in the team is Wallcott who tends to run like a headless chicken at times and it looks like their left back is quick so sort of cancells him out really.

Parker, Lampard & Jones - none of technically good enough to compete and keep the ball against Spain's midfield. I wish we'd have just gone for it and try and actually give them a game. I'd rather we try and attack and lose 4-2 than be cagey and boring and end up losing 2-0 as they just wear us down.

    Its workin!!

I actually think is a pretty good performance from England, considering we have barely had the ball, this is definitely the way to play Spain, let them have the ball, but no space within 35yds of goal

Thing is at a major tournament you just know England would f**k it up,its doing at the big game that counts not at awishy washy friendly

Hm, he missed his son's wedding, the players owe it to him to put out a good performance and make it worthwhile.

I actually not surprised we won today. I think that game suited us.

But it didn't actually feel that good to me, or act as a confidence boost much.

But hopefully it will boost the players.

I've realised that I couldnt give a **** about England at the moment, especially in a pointless friendly. So my confidence in Capello is neither here or there, where as my confidence in Woy was 0% for the moment he was appointed by Starler and Waldorf and went into minus numbers up until the moment he was kicked out.

Peoples attitude towards Capello ****s me off. He has been pretty decent (aside from the world cup). His qualifying compaigns have been immense considering the ****house he was left with after McClaren left, the guy deserves more respect

Due to 'Arry's pending prison sentence for tax evasion Capello can finish his England tenure and walk into a job at White Hart Lane but that also means the favourite for the vacant England job will be in the nick.

Rafa was on Soccer AM yesterday and seemed to hint that he would be interested - whether he was serious or not I'm not sure but I don't think he'd be a bad manager.

He's clearly more of a tournament manager than league (2 CL Finals, 1 Win, 1 FA Cup win) and transfers aren't his strong point. He knows how to set up a team on a one off game and although I don't think he will ever get it (based on the fact the media don't like him) I think England could do a lot worse.
