Cracking little show on "20 Managerial Appointments That Shook The World".

Clough at Leeds ( days not months)
Venables at Barca ( from QPR)
    Kenny Dalglish ....peddled from Celtic/Liverpool ( 1991)/Newcastle.
    Gazza at Kettering !
    They're all there.

Got me thinking, about Newcastle's worst appointment. Problem is I'm undecided between Souness/Kinnear or Fat Sam. Choices, choices:emoticon-0116-evilg

Kinnear was a total joke, Souness spent a fortune on garbage however for pure hatred factor it's Fat Sam for me. He is an odious character with an inflated sense of importance. And he has a fat head.

Assume because he's Ashley shoe-in but you cannot be serious thinking he's worse than say Souness!!

Joe Kinnear was probably the most difficult to understand or comprehend.

    Still dont.

Gotta be Kinnear - still amazes me that that actually happened. Bizarre.

He's turned it around though! I'm glad we have him now. Just not happy about the circumstances in which he came in.

Kinnear's record would've kept us up that season. Still a bad choice though. Souness or Dalglish for me

Can see what Leazes is saying. At the time sacking Chris Hughton and replacing him with Alan Pardew seemed totally ridiculous, and that's what the program is about really. In hindsight obviously it was a good appointment for me, so it's all gravy.

Yes. Would we be 3rd with Hughton? You and I will never know
