A good yucking for Frank Lampard for me ........................ total non story and typical of peoples apparent need to be outraged nowadays at the most minor of incidents.

    And the winner is...

For me, absolutely farcical decision. No rules breached but not acting in good faith. Presumably all the divers and cheats will now receive substantially stiffer penalties for breaching the exact same principle.

Simple for me, there is either a rule or there isn't. Don't get me wrong I think there are certain things that are not said but accepted. That has been the same throughout time in football and sport in general. The gentlemans rules if you like. This would certainly have fallen under that category.

However in modern football, there is no gentlemans concept in operation. Look at the behaviour of players, fans, chairman or managers. None of them abide by some kind of gentlemans code anymore. Once that goes out of the window then you need to govern them by rules or accept what they do.

He has crossed over the line but he hasn't broken a rule. Therefore zero punishment.
