I know it won't happen, but it's my wish, and I thought I'd throw my couple pennies in.

And while we have problems at LB, I think we have somebody who can do it well enough and be quick enough.
Harry keeps talking about not having enough strikers, I think he's not tried this formation to make the strikers we do have be happy doing it.

    Green

    Isla-Dunne-Ned-Henry

    Niko-Fer-Hoilett

    Vargas-Charlie-Zarate

They'll have to work harder, more overlaps, but would be freer to switch from side to side as they please and that might free up Vargas a lot more and the combination play up front would be brilliant.
Goodbye Joey. No more Traore. Wait for Samdro and Yun to come back strong.
I think this formation and team can handle it.

Can we try it, please? :emoticon-0141-whew:

No because it's ******ed and looks like something a five year-old would try on Football Manager.

We worry about Clint's pace at left back. Henry is no faster.

What is Football Manager? I guess only you would know, eh? Tried it, have ya?
That's what Hoddle said to Harry when they agreed on 3-5-2, and you lot were happy! :1980_boogie_down:

It's no different to what we have now, which is what's leaving both Vargas and Charlie with nobody to pass to and waiting for the ball all the time as it never comes out of the back because of poor passing and no link up play. Yeah, Charlie would love to be just left standing alone up front with nothing to do.

But he tackles better than Hill, at least, a little bit.

Do you truly think that? Sorry yappy but he is no stronger the tackle then clint. Your just trying to defend what is a stupid idea. That's what our politicians do. Come up with a stupid idea then try to justify it rather than thinking first. I'm all for thinking outside the box, but keep it sensible. At least Clint is left footed.

If Adel and Krancjar gets fitter, I 'd like that one. I'd have Barton in for Vargas or Henry, but if for Henry he'd need strict instructions to stay holding, hindring, setting up and no more. Think we need a new CB in this window too - we were sloppy at the back Saturday, Caulker had a mare, but I don't see improvements on the Bench.

I don't think we're getting anyone else in this window Jock. One more loan perhaps. The current bunch in whatever formation will have to deliver.

Actually I quite like the starkness of it - do not pass go, do not collect £200, go directly to jail if you fail to deliver 17th place.

I understood LoanS. We have been linked with a CM from Chelsea whose been loaned out to Koln I think it was. His name escapes me for the moment. Whatever the stats show it is defensive record that is the main reason we are where we are. It's not all the CB's fault by a long way, but though Caulker hasn't done bad, he looks very uncertain at times, and was bad Saturday. Rio and Ned don't look the part either - I think a new very decent CB is probably the biggest priority now we have another striker, and if Adel is staying and playing (if not we also need a new No 10)

Chelsea bloke was Kalas, he's already gone to Middlesbrough. We have 1 loan in Zarate, 1 more = loanS. And that obviously depends on who is available, their willingness and the terms.

I don't disagree with you mate, we have let in the most goals in the league, or defence is dire. I just don't really expect anything too exciting to happen, and that may not be a bad thing in terms of facing up to responsibilities.
