For weeks now there's been folk ranting on here about how we've been left behind by teams like Stoke, a team on the up who we all appear to have been looking on in total envy. Well hopefully the reality will hit home now. We comprehensively outplayed them in every single department and were in a different league in terms of football ability today. Everything we had hoped for at the start of the season was contained in this game. A team that have just about fully gelled and a team that basically looks like...well a team. I think our early season anxiety has got the better of us and we've been way over critical about the last few games. Sessegnon was truely outstanding as was Vaughan and should keep Catts out for a good long while. The defence was rock solid and undoubtedly imo our best in recent memory. Yeah it's only one game but i bet we're all feeling alot different now. The talk of potential relegation is absurd! Stoke, maybe and wouldn't that be a lovely irony.
I genuinely feel about 10 stone lighter. Vaughan did an absolute pearl of a job keeping things ticking, delighted with, and for him.
I can go to work with a hangover tomorrow and teach 6 lessons to incredibly demotivated Korean students, a happy man
I knew if we brought Vaughan in for Cattermole things would improve, Vaughan is a very good player, great passer. Same again next week please Mrs Doubtfire
It's an utter disgrace to call Stoke City a football team. Play for throw ins and corners to lump it onto 6' 6'' forwards. Waste 3 mins at every throw and try their utmost to spoil the game. Most boring tw*ts going. Wouldn't pay 25p to watch that sh*t every week. Brown was immense, Vaughan ran the middle, Bendner never wasted a ball. Only gripe (I am a self confessed whiner) is not much up front. Bendtner and Sess go wide and make some lovely chances but no striker for the tap ins. Stoke are sh*t but still best game Iv'e seen for donkeys.
