Now I know most of us didn't see eye to eye on the last pandemic regarding the trial vaccines but Fauci and Gates have released a new virus which will hit the UK in about 3 weeks Unsurprisingly Gates has got the patent and huge shares in the manufacturing of the vaccines Nearly everyone on this site is much smarter than I am but PLEASE look at both sides of the argument heading our way (I'm not Aber in disguise btw) DO NOT COMPLY
Why only the Co-Op? Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's would work just as well. And they have much bigger floor areas.
Don't joke about it. If you get an outbreak in your area, you have to keep free range chickens inside. You also have to ensure that where they are kept doesn't allow wild birds to enter. Given the size of a wren, that means chicken wire over all openings. A few months back, we had to register our chicken 'flock' even though we only had 3 birds (we've got 16 now).
A mate of mine had a 'flock' of 3 birds. He's got none now after Mr Fox got them on Christmas Eve! He had them for 6 years and overnight they used to roost on the branches of a small tree. I guess it was only a matter of time but his missus was upset.
We get foxes around us. Our chickens are shut in a stable overnight though. We did have one disappear a couple years back.
To be honest, you'd be surprised what does go missing. Much of it organised rather than opportunistic.
It's not actually making a joke about bird flu, the joke was aimed at government policy and the erratic handling and mixed messages during the last pandemic
Wasn't a dig at you blueturk. Just highlighting that the government's reality aligns with the joke. And for people with fowl, it isn't funny, even though I see the funny side of the joke. I think in the first 2 years of keeping chickens we had winter lockdowns of 5 and 4 months. To be honest, we wouldn't bother, but our small holding was part of a tennant farm, and we have a couple busy body neighbours in the barn conversions. One couple in particular don't like us farming next to them, even though they live in a milking parlour.
