Its match day and in a room at Ramside Hall Mr Bent will wake looking forward to seeing old friends at the SoL, his home until last year.

My day started with my walk in the park with Osca but Osca did not come home, he will enjoy a day or pampering with her indoors, she has her own doors, and he will return tomorrow. That leaves me free to hopefully enjoy a good game, wonderful performance and winning outcome. I can call for my usual Indian takeaway on my way home then settle down to watch it all again on football first.

I know there is an alternative version buts its a version best kept quiet and one I’m confident will not happen.

We will, hopefully, be sitting between 8th and 10th tonight and a mini run will have started and apart from a less than easy away game to come it should be a run that brightens up our season.

So, how important is today, vital. Vital to us fans who are trying hard to keep the faith but badly need some proof our faith is not misguided.

Vital to the players, they are now our starting 11 and only they can make sure they remain our starting 11.

Vital to Short, his pockets are deep and how far he digs in come January will be decided by how confidant he is, confidence and results tend to go hand in hand.

Above all vital to Bruce who can move a long way up the happy pole with 3 points today, he has the starting 11 and he has the strong bench, its how he uses them that will count.

Enjoy your day boys and girls, sorry, not you Darren, I hope every single minute of your home coming is full of pain,, failure and regret. Not that I’m bitter mind.

Enjoy the match mate, will keep a look out everytime the camera zooms to the crowd, for a man dressed in mustard coloured cords, and hopefully a big smile, or a grimace every time Judas gets the ball.

Yet another big match for us....hoping for 3pts for us and a blank for Bent....how many times has a player returned and scored against his previous team though?

I have a feeling. or maybe a hope, that the frustration of the last few months, chopping and changing, calls for Brucies head, knocking the players will all come out today, in a good way, and we will thrash them.

Been up since 7 had a full English and am now just waiting for my mate to turn up (travelling from Liverpool), then it's a quick warmer here and off to the bars for some nigh brow discussions on life the universe and everything. Or we could just get hammered again, it's a tough choice and one the ladies just do not understand that we are doing the youth of today a favour by drinking heavily, the more we drink the less there is for them to binge on.
Hoping for a win and a Bent mare but, you just know he'll score a 3 inch tap in. A draw would do for me at least not sure about anyone else mind. My mate reckons 2-1 to us he is a very optimistic bloke even after 10 years in Scouseville.
