Come on Cardiff you can still do it. Kenny MILLER on his own is not enough. Ernie should start with him. Rob GREEN to me is vunerable and more high balls and shots are needed. You were denied a definate penalty at the end but there you are it is english refs against the Welsh, we have seen it all season at Swansea. Good Luck from a Jack. At the end of the day we are all WELSH. Now come on you Bluebirds we want you to join us. Genuine best wishes ABERTAWEJACK
yes its only half time but 2 goals down at home then cardiff will have to win 3-0 and i dont think west ham will let them do that, they have a comfortable lead now and will shut up shop .....good effort this season anyway,,,
**** of you ****ing mother ****ing cock sucking bastard of a swanc whore ..............................seen you run before and will again .
john spews, whats with all the empty seats!! embarrising. Another old slog in the championship then is it. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
At least we get over 19000 not like you bunch of halfbreeds ,think you been standing under that flag of the dieing duck in the Sun pub down llansdamlet too long gypo boy
Why? If we hold them in the first half. Grab one back after the half....2-1...They get a bit sweaty, start to go defensive, 2-2...Extra time....Penalties...We love penalties..lol. 2-0 is far far from over.
Now then John, calm down little boy. There's always next season, the season after, the season after, ad infinitum.
What happened, I watched the 1st half and it looked like the Cardiff players simply were panicked by the occasion
it looked like a choking fit to me .sorry John there's no Sun pub in Llansamlet (check your map again & spelling)
yep the game is still there for us........infact ive seen stranger things happen like swansea fans being bitter and twisted thats not normal surely ......cheers 2 the other jacks who think outside of the bitter box crazy init its always the little ****bags that kick you when your down.....tiz the same little ****bags that run a mumbles mile when the person gets 2 his or her feet. anyway come on you bluebirds you can do it <nike>
Have Cardiff ever won a home leg on the day? Leicdester won 3-2, Reeading won 3-0 and West Ham won 2-0.
Unlucky Bluebirds......didn't see that result coming. I thought you may have taken a goal lead up to London tbh. You started off brightly enough (according to my mate who was there) but then went off the boil for most of the game? A big ask now but still in with a chance though.....an early goal and the hammers will get nervy while you get confident. Good luck in the second leg guys.
As Siam says we don't need to win 3-0. It's a massive ask and we've almost certainly f*cked it up but you can only score goals one at a time. If WH score first it's obviously dead, if we do, regardless of what has happened to that point in the 2 legs we will be one goal behind and that is do able. WH are a quality side though, take the emotion of wanting to see them beat out of the equation and assuming they do get to Wembley I think we're better off next year if they do get promoted.
Here's my take on it. West Ham were by far the more proficient outfit - they were a class above us without a doubt. We huffed and puffed but with no real conviction nor fluency between the three sections of the side. Defence to midfield was laboured and often telegraphed in advance - West Ham could see it coming before it happened and closed us down well. They were on to our midfield guys like a pack of hounds and stifled any creativity. I thought McPhail showed some real class and composure when he came on - all too late though. Midfield/attack relationship was non existant except for a few hit and hopes - in fact those two sections of the team became so blurred that you often wondered who was who. Miller and Mason were often behind Cowie and Gunnar. Whitts and Lawrence failed to adapt to being closed down so quickly that they all too often gave the ball away or made hospital passes. Having said all that, we could have scored at least four with a little composure in front of goal. Too many lashes from distance and rushed strikes in the box gave Green, who is far from the best keeper I've seen, an easy night. He got away with it because of a good display from Tomkins & Co in front of him and some abject finishing from us. If Green is tested, he'll concede. It's been suggested that they might just park the bus up there on Monday, and to be honest, that's our only hope. If they come at us as they should in their home game, we'll get stuffed. On the other hand, if they settle for what they have and let us come on to them, whoever scores the first goal up there will be playing at Wembley - that's either team.
Tomkins is an absolute class act. Not sure if we score first then we'll get to Wembley but it's not impossible. If Fat Sam was an attacking manager they would have finished us last night. We were there for the taking in the last 10minutes. If a few WH players had tuned into Maynards movement they could have settled it with 90 minutes to spare.
We managed to find a way back against Liverpool in the CC final when everybody thought the game was over at 2-1 and we can do it again from 2-0 against the Hammers. Saying that however we were poor last night and really should have put up more of a fight to come away at least without conceding.
It's all about that first goal up at the Boleyn ground now. We were dominated throughout the first half by a physically stronger side brimming with quality and confidence. Too many City players are not prepared to get stuck in and don't close down quickly enough,Whitts being a prime example. Earnie for Miller? What was the point when the same physically solid defence snuffed out every high ball that Marshall lobbed up field? Recent playoff history say's it's now over.We will be very lucky if we get a result up there, but with a mountain of pressure and expectation on the Hammers to win just maybe we can push them into a Bluebird speciality penalty shootout. Assuming Gerrard doesn't play. I just hope Macca plays from the start in the next leg.
